- Currently, as Head – Landscape & Horticulture at Adani Airports, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA), I lead the end-to-end planning, design coordination, development, execution, and operational readiness of one of India’s most extensive airport landscape programs.
I oversee more than134,000 sq.m of outdoor and approximately 2,400 sq.m of indoor landscapes, integrating aesthetics, sustainability, functionality, passenger experience, and long-term maintainability within a complex aviation environment. - My portfolio includes large-scale lawns, avenue and feature trees, ornamental planting, indoor tropical landscapes, vertical green walls, potted plant displays, and biodiversity-focused landscapes across key passenger and operational areas.
I manage the complete project lifecycle, including design reviews, plant palette optimisation, technical specifications, BOQs, material approvals, nursery and plant readiness, site execution, quality control, contractor coordination, commissioning, and maintenance planning. - A key focus is creating resilient and resource-efficient landscapes suited to Navi Mumbai’s climatic and site conditions. This includes soil improvement and reclamation, sustainable irrigation, water-use optimisation, drainage integration, nutrient management, and effective plant establishment strategies.
- I also drive IoT-enabled landscape and irrigation management to enhance irrigation efficiency, optimise water consumption, monitor performance, and enable proactive maintenance.
- Working within an airport environment requires strict compliance with aviation safety, security, environmental, operational, and passenger-experience standards. I collaborate closely with landscape architects, consultants, civil and MEP teams, irrigation specialists, contractors, nurseries, and facility management teams to seamlessly integrate sustainable landscape infrastructure with airport operations.
